Its light gray top layer reflects solar radiation and helps reduce water heating. The black bottom layer blocks light, inhibiting photosynthesis and decreasing algae growth.
Air cells provide buoyancy and insulation. The surface has perforations that allow rainwater to pass through and prevent accumulation on the cover. Additionally, the weighted edge keeps the system in place, even in windy conditions.
Each cover is custom-made to the diameter and characteristics of the silo.
